the life-changing magic.

it's amazing how much you can transform a space by decluttering and cleaning. such a simple concept, but sometimes overlooked. well, i guess living in a place for such a long time, stuff gets piled up, and things just get lost in the mix. i've been reading this book by Marie Kondo - The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, and it's been pretty eye opening.

in preparation for our open house, we decluttered, threw away god-knows-how-many-bags-of-stuff, organized, rented a storage unit, and also bought a few additional items. it felt so invigorating, thrilling, refreshing. tidying up is truly magical. we felt better, happier, lighter, and more connected.

though it was a crappy, rainy, cold sunday, the open house was somewhat of a success with a few potentials, even though two appointments were cancelled due to the weather.

oh, and in other news, we are currently addicted to house of cards!
