my own bike!

D has been wanting me to get a bike ever since he got his last summer, and had so much fun riding it on the promenade. actually, it's really not that fun when you are riding by yourself without a partner. so this summer, i finally said ok, and went bike shopping back in april.

the shopping part was pretty easy, and after so many years of trying to ride bikes that aren't fit for my size, i found one that fit perfectly: the cannondale quick 4. smooth ride, easy gear changes, and most importantly, the right height for me! we placed the order, and finally, finally last weekend, i picked up the bike. it was a long month's wait, but so worth it!

since it was my first time on a bike (since middle school), i was a bit cautious riding, especially on new york streets, but learned that riding a bike...is as easy as...riding a bike! i had no problem navigating my way through the streets from sid's to the WSH, with D following behind, of course. we went up the WSH and took the ferry back home.

the next day, we went exploring a bit, and rode our bikes all the way down the promenade to weehawken, lincoln harbor, to hoboken!

 resting in hoboken.

who knew that the promenade by us went all the way down? and it wasn't even the end yet. next weekend's plan: to ride down to hoboken and have brunch :) it only took us about 20 minutes, which is faster than driving.

we got back home and rested before we went out to watch the avengers: age of ultron movie.

cuddle time with the kitties.
